Jia Kai has been DJing professionally for 8 years. He has DJd in clubs from Mickey’s in West Hollywood to CiCi’s in New York City.
He has also pushed the electronica envelope with notable events Pauz Presents as well as CultFest
He was selected to be part of the Grammy U 2021 & 2022 cohorts for his music production. His music has been featured in places like LAWeekly, Emerging 300 (debuting at 65), and Eyes on Pop (Fuccboii (2024)), and he has even performed for notable corporate sponsors like Alaska Air.
Noted for his versatility, he never fails to bring up the energy.
Kai Kai started his musical journey as a kid — classical violin, competing on the state level.
His love for electronic music during the 2000s wave of American EDM sent his love for music into a different direction.
A path that included a certificate of Audio Production at University of Washington, 2-years in Pacific Northwest Grammy U and sound designing for podcast and film.
Part of what makes his musical sound is this technical sound design, often crafted out of what others consider noise.
